How to Access and File the BCAD Protest Form for Your Property Taxes
If you believe your home in Alamo Heights, Olmos Park, or Terrell Hills is over-appraised, you can file a property appraisal protest through the Bexar County Appraisal District (BCAD).
Step 1: Locate the BCAD Protest Form
The official form is called the Notice of Protest – Form 50-132.

When you log into your BCAD account (using your owner ID and PIN from your appraisal notice), you can protest directly online without needing a printed form.
Step 2: Complete the Form
Basic information you’ll need to fill out:

Your account number (found on your appraisal notice)

The reason for your protest (e.g., "Value is over market value" or "Value is unequal compared to similar properties")

Signature and date
